Skilled Crafts International – Networking event 2023

The Skilled Crafts Cluster of the Business Scouts for Development Program (BSfD) of the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the SCIVET Synergy project of the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH) hosted this year’s joint networking event in Berlin from November 30 to December 1 under the title “International Skilled Crafts: Expanding Networks Together and Strengthening Vocational Education and Training Worldwide”.

During the two-day event, around 40 representatives of skilled crafts organizations, consulting businesses and cooperation partners of the skilled crafts sector exchanged ideas on strengthening the image of vocational education and training within the framework of international VET projects and on how to secure long-term effects in project work.

In addition to topic-specific discussions in working groups, participants were given the opportunity to learn about current funding directives and opportunities for cooperation with partners in the skilled trades sector. Input presentations, a gallery walk and a panel discussion were organized for this purpose.

Additionally, there was the opportunity to deepen the discussions over dinner at the end of the first day of the event.
